Ian Tedeschi Age 46 Occupation: Systems Manager in the IT sector. Providing a good background for cycling, as it has indoctrinated a more laid back attitude to fellow team TT'ers that are shouting "go faster" from behind. History: Was a fallen cyclist for many years. Interest was reignited as a result of too many injuries on the rugby pitch, & the need to re-apply my talent (what little there is) to a sport that involves little or no impacts. Initial interest focused on the daily commute to work, but I soon found myself undertaking the extra curricula activities of the evening & weekend rides. I joined MO CRT in 2002. Achievements: My weekly goals only extend to making it safely back from the club runs, as my fellow colleagues seem intent to get me into the ditch. Partly , it has to be said, because my route planning is somewhat less than direct, & because GPS programmed routes are not necessarily successful. My personal achievements tend to be of the alpine climb variety. Successfully attempting & completing the 2002 & 2005 L'etape du tours for two stunningly picturesque events. The 2006 club tour took us to Riccione (Italy) & was memorable for rides to the summit at San Marino & The Cippo at Carpegna. 2008 saw a trip to the Pyrenees, bagging all the good climbs except Luz Ardiden. Does this mean that I need another week there? Having said that, my all-time stand out ride was the successful completion of the Fred Whitton Challenge route in 2007. It’s brutal!
